Description of Rotary Evaporator
RE-2002 rotary evaporator's rotary bottle maximum capacity is 20L, receiving bottle's maximum capacity is 10L, rotate speed is 0-140r.p.m, motor power is 180W. RE-2002 rotary evaporator(evaporating bottle volume>10L) is equipped with double condenser(main and vice condenser), which has better condensation effect and higher recovery rate. Because this rotary evaporator works under vacuum condition, and contact segment all adopt high temperature resistance material-high borosilicate glass and PTFE material, it is especially suitable for heat reactive material and material which is corrosive to stainless steel's concentration, crystallization, separation and solvent recovery.
The rotary evaporator has advantages of large contact area, high evaporation efficient, easy to handle, low noise, good sealing performance, complete in specifications and can manage easily foam material. It already has various specification products: 2L, 3L, 5L, 10L, 20L, 30L, 50L, 100L and so on, and the 100L rotary evaporator is an exclusive research and developed large-size rotary evaporator of our company, designed for the purpose of mass production need.
Features of Rotary Evaporator
The rotating body is composed of a set of stable and reliable micro motors and integrated circuit control devices. Under the function of electronic speed regulation, it can rotate stably in the range of 10-180rpm, which has reached the advanced level at home and abroad.
1. The lifting system of the rotating body moving up and down adopts manual weight balance to lift the host. The lifting stroke of sliding lifting and manual lifting is 100mm+150mm.
2. The condenser uses the dual-pipe convection principle for evaporating inorganic solvents. And the use of vertical condenser saves space.
3. The rotating shaft adopts high temperature and high borosilicate glass, which has good heat resistance and good sealing. The sealing part adopts Teflon and fluorine rubber two-way sealing, whose effect is good.
4.It is equipped with heating tank, built-in resistance wire heater. The heating temperature is from room temperature to 99 ℃. Teflon composite heating pot has strong corrosion resistance and long service life. The heating tank can also move left and right.
5. The device is equipped with a temperature display, intelligent temperature regulating and digital display. The temperature control is achieved by the PT100 sensor. When the water temperature reaches the set temperature, the controller will automatically cut off the power supply of heater. When the water temperature is lower than the set temperature, the controller will automatically turn on the power supply of heater, so as to achieve a constant water temperature in the tank.
6.It is equipped with speed display, which can accurately display the rotation speed.
Operation Procedure
1. Vacuuming: When the vacuum pump is turned on, but it cannot remove air. Check whether the mouth of each bottle is sealed, whether the vacuum pump leaks, and whether the sealing ring at the rotating shaft is intact. And a vacuum switch connected in series with the external vacuum tube can improve the recovery rate and evaporation speed.
2. Feeding: Under the vacuum negative pressure of the system, the liquid material can be sucked into the evaporation flask with a PTFE hose at the feeding port. The liquid material should not exceed half of the evaporation flask. The instrument can be fed continuously, please pay attention to: ①Turn off the vacuum pump; ②Stop heating; ③After the evaporation stops, slowly open the feeding valve cock to prevent backflow.
3. Heating: This instrument is equipped with a specially designed water bath. It must be added with water and then powered on. The temperature control range is 0-99°C for reference. Due to thermal inertia, the actual water temperature is about 2 degrees higher than the set temperature, and the set value can be corrected when used.
4. Rotation: turn on the speed control switch, adjust the knob to the best evaporation speed. Be careful to avoid the water bath vibration wave.
5. Turn on the cooling water.
6. Recovery solvent: turn off the vacuum pump, open the feed switch to deflate, and remove the solvent inside the collection bottle.
